The option package contains the following items.

ThinkSystem 1U 4 x 3.5" Backplane option kit

1 1U 3.5" 4-bay backplane (1)​

Depending on the type (SAS/SATA or AnyBay) of backplane option kit, this component can be either of the following:

  • 3.5" SAS/SATA 4-bay backplane
  • 3.5" AnyBay 4-bay backplane

2 1x1 3.5" drive filler (4)​

Must be installed if no drive is installed in a bay

3 Drive type label (2)​

Depending on the type (SAS/SATA or AnyBay) of backplane option kit, this component can be either of the following:

  • 4 x 3.5" SAS/SATA drive type label (1) + 4 x 3.5" SATA drive type label (1)
  • 4 x 3.5" Anybay drive type label (1) + 4 x 3.5" SATA/NVMe drive type label (1)
