Lenovo RackSwitch G7028/G7052

The Lenovo RackSwitch G7028 and Lenovo RackSwitch G7052 are Enterprise-class Gigabit Ethernet data center switches.

The G7028 includes 24 x 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports and 4 x 10 GbE SFP+ ports.

The G7052 includes 48 x 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports and 4 x 10 GbE SFP+ ports.

The G7028 and G7052 are inexpensive entry-level Layer 2 1/10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) switches in a 1U form factor, that are designed for the enterprise edge in the data center, small or medium-sized business, and remote office environments where clients are looking for an economical 1 Gb and 10 Gb connectivity solution.

The G7028 and G7052 switches deliver exceptional performance with its near non-blocking, wire-speed switching cut-through architecture and is designed for those looking for cost-effective 1 GbE Layer 2 switching solutions with the ability to easily transition to 10 GbE.

With the growing focus on energy efficiency, the G7028 typically uses only 45 W of power wheras the G7052 typically uses only 76 W of power. It is also designed with rear-to-front airflow (ports in the rear matching most server and storage ports), which allows for flexible mounting of the switch in a rack cabinet and provides convenient cable management and significant savings in cooling costs with better hot and cold-aisle management.

While the G7028 and G7052 switches are designed for high availability, clients can get additional redundancy with an optional external Redundant Power Supply which supports up to four G7028 or G7052 switches.

The following documentation is available for these Rack switches:
